Voices:Haley Joel Osment, John Goodman Direction: Steven Trenbirth Nearly 35 years later comes the sequel to the justly admired Jungle Book, one of the best animation features that brimmed with life, music and colour. The follow up from up the Walt Disney studio is major let down. It has neither the wit nor the cutie-pie charm of the original which appealed to audiences of all ages.

A shocking hack job, the 72- minute movie resurrects wolf-boy Mowgli (voiced by Haley Joel Osment of The Sixth Sense), who teams up with his old pal Baloo the Bear (marvelously dubbed by John Goodman), to deal with an ultra-vicious snake and a blood-thirsty tiger. The hit song—Bare Necessities—from the 1967 version is reprised as many as three times over. And for a bit a novelty, crooner Phil Collins fetches up as a wacky vulture. A re-run of the older classic would have been far more welcome that this avoidable limp-back to the jungle.
